Morón, a neighbourhood nearby Ramos

By Sarah Ghobadi:

Morón is a pretty locality nearby Ramos Mejía. You can easily go there as there are a lot of trains frequently passing through. Although the trip by train is quite uncomfortable, there are only two stations, that is to say about ten minutes. Once you arrive, you don’t have to walk a lot in order to reach the centre of Morón which is really dynamic. There are a lot of people in the streets, the shops are animated, and if you happen to be lost you will always find someone nice who will help you.

The cathedral is located in the centre of Morón. You can see far away from it that it is of colonial style, it could be compared with the cathedrals that you find in the argentine north-east, for example in Tucumán. The good thing of the cathedral is that it gives a lot of charisma to the city of Morón.

In front of the cathedral, in the same central place you can observe the Municipality of Morón that is entirely white and quite big as well.
In the zone of the “Gran Buenos Aires”, one of the most famous universities is the University of Moron. In order to accede to this one, you have to cross the railroad and then you have to walk during two blocks. The university is GIGANTIC (there are various buildings) and very modern. Furthermore, there are plenty of beautiful argentinians. For this reason at least it deserves to go walking through the corridors of the university, ha-ha. The good thing in the Argentine education is that you can learn courses in the morning, in the afternoon and also in the night (there are classes until 11 PM). So the students can work and study at the same time.

When you arrive at night it is illuminated with all the shopping’s spots that there are in the main streets. The main shops in Morón are C&A, Miel y Limón, Show Sport, etc… The city offers a great variety of shops. But even this way, the centre of Morón is nothing compared to the “Shopping Plaza del oeste” (speaking about shopping for sure).

From Ramos Mejía, you can accede to this mall with the bus 166 that last about 15 minutes to arrive at “Plaza Oeste”. Everything is made in the mall in order for everyone to feel good and could last an entire day into. There are all kinds of shops and once you finish the shopping, you can rest in one of the benches nearby a fountain, you also can go to the Hoyts cinema that proposes a large panel of films. If you are hungry, multiples restaurants, fast foods, ice creams shops, bakeries, etc…, are at your disposition.
