By Soufiane Bassit
(Soufiane with student Graciela)
My name is Soufiane and I am an Arabic teacher in the Foundation CICLO, among other many things. I was born and lived in Morocco for 19 years, in Casablanca more exactly. So I am lucky to speak the Arabic and to teach it in the foundation once per week.
The Arab is spoken in 17 countries across the world and speak it opens many doors to travel or for business.
I teach it with the method CICLO, that is to say with images, texts, music and an interaction that allows you to speak the language at the end of the course. The Arab seems to be difficult to learn. The truth is, that initially is more difficult to learn it that the Spanish, so much to write it like to read it, but later the Arab is easier and less complicated than the French or Spanish.
It is a new experience for me because I study in a business school in France. I like to teach this language and especially to make know my culture through songs and texts. The Arabic culture is more than the food and the dance, it is a history, customs, a way of seeing the different world.
