A day at ´´el Rancho´´

I expected a place full of tourists, when I arrived at ´el Rancho´ with the other volunteers of the CICLO Foundation last Sunday, but it turned out to be a place where a lot of Argentines go with their families to celebrate a birthday. So besides seeing some traditional Argentine games, dancing and music, we also got the opportunity to celebrate with them.

After dinner the music started and it was time for some singing. We actually recognized a song that we learned in our Spanish class! For each song they needed some people to sing along and I was invited to sing the song ´Fiesta´. Everyone was very enthousiastic.

I think it was a great day because in stead of being a tourist, we could really participate in Argentine life and talk, dance, sing and celebrate with the locals. Thanks to the Foundation and to our guide Vicky for organizing this day.
