Volunteer Valery from Belgium
As co-organizer of the videoconference between Belgian students of my university (Facultés Universitaires Catholiques de Mons) and the CICLO Foundation, I ‘m happy that everything went perfectly well! Indeed, we had a lot of worries. For example, about the participants’ number or technical difficulties we could meet when we organize such project. Indeed, to organize a project by Skype between two places so distant from each other, and furthermore with five hours of jet lag, depend overall on technical good working. Luckily, everything was right. Therefore, the cultural exchange between Belgians and Argentineans worked well, and from the two sides of the Atlantic, people could discover some themes about another culture but also about politics, history and daily life of their interlocutors. If everything worked well, it’s also thanks to the volunteers and employees of the foundation’s team! With them and the Direction’s support, everybody was motivated to complete this project successfully. Now, with the post-debate comments of the Argentineans participants, we can improve this project and do it again with others countries and perhaps with others parts of the world!
